- working with the design professionals during the design process to insure clear, dispute free construction documents;
- preparing the bid packages to insure they include the proper scope of work while excluding any work which may overlap various trades;
- planning, controlling and correcting the actions of the prime contractors during construction.
McCuskey Group will improve the project's potential for success by making expert recommendations regarding: optimum use of available funds, budget preparation and reconciliation, estimating, master program scheduling, optimum use of the design professional's and contractor's unique skills and talents, use of geo-technical investigations, constructability, bid ability, value engineering, minimization of delays, changes in conditions, disputes and claims, enhanced construction quality, phasing considerations and knowledge of many different types of contracting options and procurement instruments for consideration by the Owner and project team.
McCuskey Group provides comprehensive management and control methods, applied early in the project and continuing throughout the project until completion. We integrate the following methods into our project management: clearly defined scopes of work, quality assurance, alternatives for materials, equipment and processes, independent cost estimating with internal reviews at 30%, 50%, 75% and 100% of design phase, timelines and milestones for the client’s input and review, improved project cost control because we compare budget, commitment and estimated costs. We utilize a detailed schedule, exercised and updated weekly, to manage priorities in project meetings.
