McCuskey Group recommends independent cost estimates of the plans and specifications at four progress stages of the design documents. “Over the shoulder” constructability reviews are suggested at the 30% and 75% progress stages of the construction documents. The Project Manager and other Owner representatives, having specific knowledge of the design disciplines or user needs, perform concurrent reviews with the Construction Manager while allowing the design process to continue unfettered. Comments are provided live during the “over the shoulder” review directly to the design team to prevent any delays.
